IELTS TASK 2 paraphrasing introductions

IELTS Profi

Hi everyone. In IELTS task 2 you will be required to paraphrase the title prompt. This is not an easy task and requires a lot of practice, using your vocabulary and grammar in a clear and precise way.

Here are some paraphrasing tips.

  1. Start your first sentence at a different point from that of the original source
  2. Use synonyms (words that mean the same thing)
  3. Change the sentence structure (e.g. from active to passive voice)
  4. Break the information into separate sentences

How would you paraphrase the following?:

“Some people know from an early age what job they want to do”

Here are some example paraphrases. Can you guess the missing words?

Some people know what job they want to do at a very y________ age.

Some people have a cl_______ pic________ of their f_______ job from an early age.

There are people who know what c________ they will p______ from their young age.

Some people are c____- minded about their career path when they were young.

Certain young people know which p________ they should go i______ when they grow older.

Some young people know what they want to b_______ in the future.

Some people can vi________ their career path when they are very young.

Some people have a strong i________ about what type of work they want to do in the future from a young age.

CAN YOU THINK OF ANYMORE? :))))

I have seen the frustrations that students have with IELTS from a career where I have actively guided and corrected students’ studies. I am looking for the most effective ways to teach IELTS as I understand students’ needs.
